I am looking at Christy and she has covered herself in soot or charcoal, I'm not sure which. It reminds me of work and how many of the apprentice artist's touch their faces and soon become covered in pastels of all colors. Everyone is looking at her funny and wondering what is going on. "She is just marking her things, " I say in an attempt to make it seem totally normal to cover oneself in some type of powder. I am feeling bad and want to defend her in anyway possible.
