My Dreams at Camp: As it so Happened

Day 1:
Danny Devito and I get a ride to a fancy hotel. In the lobby and hallway the woman I am traipses around leaving a trail of bloody footprints (the prints gradually get lighter). Danny Devito left her alone and now I see her reflection in the mirror as she asks a stranger "What are you doing tonight?" I see her neck wobble. She looks old and is wearing feathers.

Day 2:
I wind myself up in gold ribbon making sure to tighten it more so the stilts that I'm wearing stay on. There was an old man and a younger person in my broken down mansion that works like a cut- away model of a house.

Day 3:
------some middle school drama---- then the note "that's a pretty dumb dream"

Day 4:
I made a gift for one of my little cousins and then addressed it to someone named "Candy." Inside the present were toys, dolls, sparkly lip balm, beans, and rice. I made a homemade card which my brother critiqued because I drew it with crayons in a dark room (he was drawing with crayons in the dark as he said this). --Flashes of a river or creek-- I got dressed 3 times, sent Bryan an email of the universe, and wanted to go sleep on a table somewhere. Then the neighbors came in and asked why I'd given the present to my cousin. When asked why they wanted to know they said, "because it was so nice." I didn't admit to having given the present because they were so creepy.

Day 5:
One of the campers comes home with us. It turns out she can speak, and she's leaving immediately for some cool new job. I can't believe she's been keeping up the act for so long. What would her mother think?

Superstar, Megabat-beast Hunter

I was a superstar basketball player — sorta. I don't think it was professional, just among friends. But, no one else could swing from the trees in order to slam dunk like me. Wow, what kind of tree was that? end.

Then I was in a couple's house, in the evening. They were complete strangers to me. I think they had put they're child to bed, then proceeded to tell me just a little bit about the gargantuan mega-bat monster that I was there to rid them of (sort of like this, but less dragon-like, and without the three-headed thing going on). They turned the kitchen light on the draw the monster over to the house from across the field. I started to get a little scared when I realized it was as large as a skyscraper. It could have ripped the house apart, but didn't for some reason — just placing a six-foot long claw through the window. The couple went to bed, leaving me to solve this dilemma. I was on the floor, out of fright, and scooched my way down the hall to see the beast from a different angle. I reached a different room, which I noticed had porn movies strewn about. Gosh, I thought this was a prudish couple — I mean: she's a third-grade teacher! Hope they won't be embarrassed/upset that I was in this room. Oh no, now the monster is leaving, I feel bad, I haven't figured out how to get rid of it. What are bats' weaknesses? Think, Eric, think! end.

Dental care

In a sort of prelude to the main dream, it seems that i am in germany, on a riverbank, then on a hill. my brother asks if i can see the building that he would be studying in (there is a large tower appearing above the other [gorgeous, european] buildings) — my response is something like "ja ja, I know, of course." (Because *I* had already been there and it no longer intrigues me).

Next I know, I'm at the bottom of a different, grassy, hill with a lot of people. We divide up tasks, maybe; Christy goes off to the stage to emcee a kids' art show of some kind. I, and everyone else that isn't a kid, divvy up the bows and arrows, then I climb to the top of the grassy hill and we commence the battle/game. It is me versus everyone at the bottom (so I have the "combat" advantage of higher ground). Everyone at the bottom is a woman, older than me, 30s, 40s. I'm able to (mortally?) "wound" a few, getting over-confident of my skills. I effortlessly dodge the stray arrows that come near me until I see one soar through the air, coming right at me now — I roll slightly (I'm laying on the ground in a nearly impossible-to-strike position) but cower and close my eyes, not sure if it will hit me. it plants itself in the ground right next to my torso, I feign pain and death; while everyone at the bottom cheers, I draw my arrow and hit my childhood dentist in the chest. She looks at it in shock, and then proceeds into a somewhat theatrical death. Her jacket is off, and I expect to see blood begin pouring out, but it never comes. The game is over. During the clean-up phase, one of the women (a knitter!) had come to the top and tried to impale me with an arrow from point-blank several times — I passively dodge until I realize "what the f&$#, that's not fair!" and exclaim something similar.

I return to the bottom, where we all get back together to laugh and watch the video of Christy on stage. Silly Christy! we seem to say.

Zombies and Bikes...

I made my way through a cavern and up the paved road to the top of the mountain. I was with others. We were going because it was the only safe place to go. Every year on this date some people in the city turn into zombies. No one knows if they'll turn into a zombie but nobody wants to, even if it's only for one day. Last year we discovered that if you climb into the mountains you'll be safe.

At the top there is a sense of peace, and some new age decorating going on. I walk through the building and wonder why some of us don't change. In the evening it's time to go back to town even though zombies roam the streets. I talk to my co-worker Tom and a girl I meet about biking back. I'm scared. Tom says he'll ride with me. The girl says she'll go on a route close to mine. She's studying to be a lawyer and lives on Law street.

I wake up suddenly and unexpectedly. The light is on, my computer is on my bed. I spill some water, I wipe it up and put my computer somewhere else. Then I sleep:

David arrives in Albuquerque. I have a bike waiting for him. We bike home down Central. Occasionally my bike changes into two unicycles which I ride simultaneously. I can do it really easily but I keep getting off because I don't know if I should be practicing downhill (I mean, where are my brakes?). Max Brown give David a soft hug. I am kind of surprised to see Max Brown in Albuquerque.

I'm getting a kitten in a month.

I'm in elementary school. I have this tiny black and white kitten in my arms that I know is mine. It's very cuddly and sleepy, which is adorable. We go into the school gym, where Peter from Family Guy is telling people about his great idea to have a giant monkey chained up in the gym.

I'm at home in CT, talking to my mom about the kitten. Then I'm back at the gym, scared of the giant monkey that is actually chained up in the gym. He is HUGE, like 50' tall, and has some sort of weapon in his big angry hands that I'm trying to avoid, still with the kitten in my arms.

I run outside and start talking to a little girl about the kitten, and I think about how I'm her mother. I'm comforting her about something and telling her that I know because she's in second grade, and I'm 8 (which is how old I would be if I were in second grade...)

The kitten smiles at me and I kiss it right on its whiskers, feeling happier than I've ever felt.

I think I need to get a kitten wherever I am in three weeks.

Talking Dogs and Moms

I was walking down my old street in CT and saw some old ladies gardening in front of their houses. I stopped to untwist a vine that was strangling a small tree, and one of the old ladies asked me to go get her small scissors inside her house. She told me I had to go around the oven and they'd be in the drawer. I walked into the house, and climbed over a hot stove to get to the back room where the scissors were. On a round table in the back room, Kris' dog, Yuki, was lying down and staring at me. He had really short, shaved hair and looked kind of like a mean doberman, though he's a wolf-malamute.

Yuki and I had a struggle for domination in which we each tried to stand taller and look bigger than the other. He was on a table, so somehow he won and was taller and growling at me. I was really scared that he was going to bite me so I gave in and went to go get the scissors. On my way back outside, I saw Yuki lying on the ground and went over to talk to him. We had a conversation that I don't really remember, but I told him that I thought he was going to bite me and he said something like, "Yeah, I know you did." We talked a little longer, and then I was interrupted by Kris' mom asking me if she could have some of my donuts that the old lady had given me for going to get her scissors.

She asked if she could have an apple cinnamon one, and I said yes before I realized it was my last one. I asked if I could at least have part of it, since it was my last one, and she said, "Oh, don't worry about it, I have more at the house I can give you." So I let her have my last donut, and I don't remember the rest of the dream. I think I woke up shortly after that, but I think I talked to Yuki more and Kris was there briefly...eating my donuts, I think.

beauty and death

I was watching two pairs of two children play with eachother outside… but they were playing so wonderfully I was amazed at how they were dancing. Christy sat behind me playing and singing the most beautiful song. Eva was in the back and started playing harmonica with Christy and soon just stopped to listen to this beautiful song. Someone came in and told me they were going to take their temperature, Christy left. I told Eva that we wanted to have her and Carlos over for dinner, but really just to play games. I was sort of walking around her as I spoke. Eva then took a caterpillar off my sweater that had attached himself there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Man, this morning was tragic. I apparently had several younger siblings, two toddlers and two babies. My brothers ( 22 and 27 ) and I were babysitting our new members, who we had for some reason just met. We were at a family reunion. There was a stairwell that did not have a banister. The toddlers kept perching their bums right on the edge, I kept taking them off. Then they grabbed the babies to hold in their lap on the edge! I swooped them up several times, and they seemed to think it was a funny game, until one of the babies fell to the ground. They still didn't seem to understand that baby was dead now. It was horrible. The dream went on all morning, and followed through the next couple days in the dream of telling our mother, and mourning and crying and dealing with this awful death . I finally woke up and stopped trying to sleep because it was so sad.
